The Yankton Police Department, Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, and Yankton County Search and Rescue were called to Westside Park Sunday morning. At approximately 11:45 AM they received a report of a body in the Westside Park Pond area.
Yankton County Search and Rescue assisted with the recovery of the body and the incident is currently under investigation. Police Chief Jason Foote says as soon as they have more information, they will release it to the public and the media.
