The USD Law School Task Force has recommended that the school stay on campus in Vermillion, but also open an educational facility in Sioux Falls. That was the middle option the group came up with.

Member Bob Morris says he didn’t think a proposal to move the school to Sioux Falls would survive…

Morris, an attorney from Belle Fourche, says just keeping the school in Vermillion is not viable either…….

Task Force Consultant Mike Spivey says adding the Sioux Falls campus is just part of the answer……

The vote to move to Sioux Falls failed on a vote of eight to five. The so-called hybrid option passed on a vote of nine to four. Task Force Chairman, Representative Mark Mickelson of Sioux Falls says they will come up with a budget number needed for the Sioux Falls facility, as well as upgrades to the Vermillion law school building.
