Current South Dakota State Auditor Steve Barnett will be on the ballot in November, this time as the republican candidate for Secretary of State.
He had no opposition for the nomination at the state convention, but wanted to work his way around the state anyway…..

Barnett says he has a lot of interest in the functions of the Secretary of State’s office….

Democrats nominated Alexandra Frederick of Winner as their candidate. Barnett says he is looking forward to the campaign…..

Barnett was first elected Auditor in 2010, and was reelected in 2014.
