The EB-5 investment program in South Dakota is in a bit of a holding pattern due to legal action.
The program would allow foreign investors to get a “green card” for putting up a half million dollars for job development.
Governor Dennis Daugaard says the state has not been using the program for new projects….

The state has asked the US Citizenship and Immigration Service to not remove the state from the EB-5 program. Daugaard says they would like the legal process to play out….

The state has sued SDRC based in Aberdeen over its management of the EB-5 program.
Daugaard says they want to be sure those who have put up money are treated fairly……

Daugaard says the state is waiting on a response from US CIS.
