SD Public Safety Officials Alarmed by Rise in Traffic Fatalities

After thirty-two traffic fatalities since September first, state officials are again asking people to take the small step of using their seat belts.

Lee Axdahl, Director of the Office of Highway Safety, says too many deaths occur because of the lack of seat belts….

Fatalities this year are still running behind last year’s total of one hundred sixteen, the second lowest in state history.
