SD Medicaid Health Care Workers Need a Raise

Even though the budget will be tight again this year, South Dakota lawmakers want to raise pay for a number of public workers.
House Speaker Mark Mickelson of Sioux Falls says those that work with the disabled need an increase……

Mickelson says the providers of those services are worried……

Mickelson says if those workers don’t get raises, the responsibility of taking care of their clients will fall back to the state……

Mickelson says many of the workers are getting ten to twelve dollars an hour.
