Members of the Joint Appropriations Committee of the South Dakota Legislature toured state facilities east and west river during the interim break, and heard about funding issues.
Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, Vice-Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, says with state revenues below projections, they can’t make any commitments……
Hunhoff says they know they are going to get a lot of requests…..
Hunhoff says the starting point for next year’s budget will be below this years……
The Governor will deliver his budget address to legislators early next month.
