Governor Dennis Daugaard is working on details of his budget, which he will deliver to the legislature on December fifth.
He says sales tax revenues are still running below projections…..

Daugaard says drought and low ag prices are big factors in those lower sales taxes. He says most people don’t have a lot of extra disposable income……

Daugaard says there is still quite a bit of time before the legislature will have to write the 2019 budget…..

In Daugaards first year in office, in 2011, he cut state spending ten percent to do away with a structural deficit.
