South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley moved quickly last week to say publicly that he will be a candidate for Governor in 2018.
Jackley says it was hardly a secret….

Jackley says he also felt he had to act due to passage of IM22 by voters earlier this month…..

IM22 calls for public financing of election campaigns. By declaring when he did, Jackley could move his campaign funds into the Governors race.

Jackley says he will not be out actively campaigning for a while…..

Republican Congresswoman Kristi Noem also announced she would seek the Governor’s office in 2018.
