The Nebraska Farm Bureau is supporting right to repair legislation set to be heard in committee this week in the Unicameral. Farm Bureau State Government Relations Director Ansley Mick says their group approved a resolution at their state convention last December backing the concept.

She says a lot of the farm equipment has become highly technical and while producers need to be able to do their own repairs, there are still cases where they may have to seek professional expertise.

Mick says LB 67 will be before the Senate Judiciary Committee tomorrow afternoon for its initial hearing.

She says there is some opposition to the measure that will likely come up during Thursday’s hearing.
