RFA Sees Positives And Negatives From CBO Report

A Congressional Budget Office report released this summer and shared at a Congressional Committee hearing last week looked at what might happen if the RFS were repealed. Renewable Fuel Association Senior Vice President Geoff Cooper says the report debunks the Food versus Fuel argument because it shows no impact from the RFS on food prices.

Cooper says the CBO findings also show that E-10 will continue to be bought whether or not the RFS is in place or not.
He says the part of the CBO report his group disagrees with is the claim that increasing use of advanced biofuels will increase fuel prices.

The study was shared with the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
