Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts; State Watching for Keystone XL Protesters

The Nebraska Public Service Commission has set aside five days in August to take formal testimony on the proposed route of the Keystone XL crude oil pipeline.
Trans Canada has filed for approval of the route from north central to south east Nebraska.

The routing of the Dakota Access Pipeline led to protests and arrests in North Dakota.
Governor Pete Ricketts says they are preparing for similar activity in Nebraska…..

Ricketts says there are concerns about out of state protesters joining in…..

Ricketts says oil pipelines are still needed to fuel the economy…..
The PSC has until November to make a decision on the pipeline route.
