The Nebraska Corn Board is offering qualifying retailers up to $50,000 to install flex fuel pumps. Corn Board’s Director of Market Development Roger Berry says the goal is to get higher blends of ethanol out to consumers and help retailers.

He says grants are available on a first come first served basis, with the Corn Board making the final determination of who gets the grants.

Berry says the number of flex fuel vehicles on Nebraska’s roads is increasing daily.

Berry says once the funding is exhausted for their grant program, retailers will be placed on a waiting list. They’ll be awarded grant money in the order the applications were received if additional funding becomes available. Interested parties should go to the Nebraska Corn Board’s website.
