Nebraska Cattlemen Association leaders are monitoring several pieces of tax relief legislation being looked at in the early part of the 2015 session of the Unicameral. Cattlemen’s Legislative Director Laura Field says they want to see more of Senator Al Davis’s plan to give property tax relief by putting in a local income tax.
Field says she expects several property tax relief measures to surface as the session progresses. She says some have already showed up that they’re looking over.
Field says because Governor Pete Ricketts has made tax relief a priority she expects a whole package of bills yet to be introduced including both property and income taxes.
