Minnesota Farm Bureau Members Lobbying Congress

Minnesota Farm Bureau members are in Washington D.C. this week making hill visits. Cass County Farm Bureau President Miles Kuschel, a member of the American Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Rancher Committee says they delivered signatures of citizen’s opposing EPA’s proposed Waters of the U.S. rule.
Kuschel says they also have been talking to lawmakers about tax extender’s legislation and other issues.
Kuschel expects the tax extenders legislation containing Section 179 to come up in the Senate during the lame duck session of Congress. Thursday the House passed the jobs bill containing Section 179.
