A new study by Informa Economics shows the original intended RFS level for 2014 blending of 14.4 billion gallons can be reached through increased consumption of E 85 and E 15.   Iowa Corn Growers President Roger Zylstra  of Lynneville says that will help their case in trying to convince EPA to change their volume obligation proposal. He says if they don’t rural economies will suffer.

Iowa Corn Growers Chief Operating Officer Brian Jones says the Informa study shows that if the components of the RFS are allowed to work as intended the so called blend wall can be easily scaled.

Both Zylstra and Jones encourage people to submit their views to EPA with the January 28 RFS comment deadline fast approaching.
