Monday, Members of Iowa’s Congressional Delegation sent a letter to President Elect Donald Trump urging him to scrap the Environmental Protection Agency’s Waters of the U.S. Rule in the first few days of his Presidency. Iowa Cattlemen’s Association President Dr. Phil Reemtsma is pleased the letter was sent and is hoping the new President will follow through.

The Iowa delegation also wants Trump to direct the EPA to craft a common sense rule that clarifies the scope of the Clean Water Act and take into consideration the input of all stakeholders. Reemtsma says he agrees with that and thinks it’s important all ag groups are included in that process.

Signing onto the letter were Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, and Congressmen David Young, Steve King and Rod Blum.
