TransCanada has shut down shipments of crude oil through the Keystone pipeline due to what is being called an “incident” in Hutchinson County.
South Dakota Public Utilities Commission Chairman Chris Nelson says they were notified on Saturday afternoon…..
That pipeline crosses eastern South Dakota from north to south.

Nelson says state agencies are helping Trans Canada with the clean up….

Nelson said they didn’t know yet if the spill was at a pump station, or along the line itself.

Nelson says TransCanada had to have a spill response in place as part of their permit application……

In a release,TransCanada says they are investigating a potential incident along its Keystone pipeline right-of-way approximately four miles from its Freeman pump station in Hutchinson County.
