South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard told students at the wrap up of the “Governors Camp” at USD in Vermillion today that their future is bright, but they have to make good choices.
This is the 32nd annual summer camp, where about three hundred gifted students spend two weeks exploring educational opportunities.
Daugaard also told the students, especially the high school ages, that they need to look for scholarships, highlighting the South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship.
Daugaard told the students they should think about higher education in the state, then staying here.
First Lady Linda Daugaard received the 2015 State Initiative Award for her work in STEM education.
