Fewer Federal Tax Impacts Expected in South Dakota

South Dakota residents may see fewer impacts from the tax reform bill making its way through Congress.
There was a lot of debate over being able to deduct state and local income taxes from federal taxes. That did not make the final cut.

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard says that is a benefit of the state’s tax system…..

Daugaard says he hopes no matter the cuts, that the system is greatly simplified……

Daugaard says the current tax code is stacked against the middle class……

The Senate passed their version of the tax bill late Friday night. It may go to a conference committee with the House this week.
