Representatives of White Castle, Wendy’s And Arby’s Fast Food companies are supporting legislation to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard. Nebraska Ethanol Board Administrator Todd Sneller says food processors and the oil companies have teamed up to convince some fast food companies to believe the food versus fuel argument.

Sneller says rural consumers should think about not doing business with those fast food companies.

Sneller says those food companies should understand the linkage between the cost of food and fuel.  He says companies should also understand the relationship between ethanol production and the renewable fuel standard, and the food supply. He says the food versus fuel debate has been around for over 40 years.
