President Trump’s tax reform plan unveiled Wednesday calls for simplifying the tax code, cutting corporate and individual tax rates and repealing the estate tax. Nebraska Cattlemen Association President Troy Stowater says the elimination of the death or estate tax is something they’ve long been working for.

He says estate tax reform is badly needed and if approved it will help younger producers get into the business.

Stowater says simplifying the tax code will be very beneficial for all aspects of agriculture.

Stowater says if Congress approves tax reform it will also boost the overall economy.
