EWG Says Heritage Report Shows Important Farm Program Issues

A recent Heritage Foundation report is asking Congress to move away from safety nets for America’s farmers. Specifically they want lawmakers to eliminate price support programs for grain and dairy farmers. Environmental Working Group’s Vice President of Government Affairs Scott Faber says they agree with some of the recommendations the Foundation came up with.

He says the Heritage Foundation is not backing complete elimination of crop insurance but only wants it used when there’s a severe loss experienced by farmers.
