The Yankton School Board will take proposals to move to a system of purchasing cards for their spending accounts.

Business Manager Jason Bietz told the board at their meeting last night that the electronic, online system would give the board the same control and more information…

Bietz says the new system would also provide the district with a new revenue source from card fees…

Bietz says the cards, much like credit cards, have tight security…

The board authorized Bietz to request proposals for the card system, with it possibly coming online early next year.
