Yankton County Sheriff Jim Vlahakis says search and rescue crews are continuing to look in the Missouri River off Riverside Park in Yankton for a missing six year old boy.
Vlahakis says they got the call about 7:30 last night from a family member that the boy was missing, and they were unable to find him.
Law enforcement began a ground search in and around the park, while Yankton County Search and Rescue put a dive team in the river.
Vlahakis says the six year old was last seen wearing tan pants, tan shoes, has blonde hair and wears glasses. The name of the child is not being released.
Yankton Police, South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks, Nebraska Game & Parks, Cedar County Emergency Management, and the Brookings Dog team are assisting in the search.
