YAPG Focuses On Housing Shortage

Yankton Area Progressive Growth has taken a leading role in identifying housing issues, and looking for solutions.

An employment survey found that major employers in the community plan on adding up to five hundred jobs in the next three years.

Dan Specht, who chairs the housing committee of YAPG updated the City Commission at their meeting last (Monday) night.

He says they have identified some areas that private contractors are not building…

 

Specht says there is also a need for affordable, single family homes…

 

Specht says they will need some help from the city to move forward on their housing plans…

 

Specht says they still need to finalize deals on land before they can move forward.
