Yankton Area Progressive Growth has hired an outside consulting firm to look at what is called “retail leakage” from the local market.

YAPG President John Kramer says the study looks at sale tax results and what is missing in the mix…

 

Kramer says companies interested in the market then can use the study to decide on a possible location…

 

Kramer says having that information available can help communities speed up the process of retail expansion…

 

He expects the results in the next few months.
