The planning and cost estimates for Yankton’s new water treatment plant are wrapping up.
City Manager Amy Nelson says they are working with some initial costs……..

Nelson says they are waiting to hear from the state Department of Environment and Natural Resources on their loan application….

Nelson says they would like to get some initial construction done this year….

If construction begins this year, the plant may be operational in 2019.
