The Yankton City Commission will hold a work session tonight to talk about the upgrades needed at the wastewater treatment plant, and what those will cost.

The Director of Environmental Services for the City, Kyle Goodmanson says the forty million dollar project will require wastewater rates to rise over the next few years….

Goodmanson says a grant from the state will help cut some of those future rates….

Mayor Stephanie Moser says it’s a necessary upgrade….

The resolution seeking action on the higher rates will come at a future meeting. The work session is at 6PM tonight at the CM-TEA building.
