Yankton Voters Elect City Commissioners

Yankton voters re-elected incumbent commissioners Craig Sommer and Jake Hoffner while electing Chris Ferdig — his third year on the ballot. Nine-year commissioner and current mayor Nancy Wenande came up short.

Sommer led the vote with 699 votes for 26.40 percent of the vote. Ferdig received 696 votes for 26.28 percent of the vote. Hoffner received 658 votes for 24.85 percent and Nancy Wenande finished fourth with 595 votes, or 22.47 percent of the votes. Turn out was just over thirteen percent.
