Yankton Teen Gets Surprise at Drivers License Station

Sixteen-year-old Adam Lange of Yankton got a call to come to the driver’s license station in Yankton because of an issue with his license.

When he got there, Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels was waiting with a ten thousand dollar check for him.

Lange was the first place winner in the “Lesson Learned SD” contest sponsored by the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety.
Lange says it was quite a surprise……

Lange says he learned about safe driving through the contest and the associate web site…..

Michels says he has learned about safe driving in his short time behind the wheel…..

The cash prize was sponsored by the South Dakota Broadcasters Association.
