The Yankton School Board met in executive session for about forty minutes this (Friday) afternoon, and when they emerged Superintendent Dr Wayne Kindle said they had accepted the resignation of high school building trades teacher Roy Erickson.

Kindle says the resignation was submitted to the district earlier this week.

Normally, teacher resignations are considered in open board sessions.

Kindle says parents should not have any concerns about the resignation.

Erickson joined the school district in August.
