A project has been underway within Yankton County to install storm sirens in the lake area and later expand to other parts of the county. At a county commission meeting Monday, Emergency Management head Paul Scherschligt announced the results of the bidding process for the project.

Danko Emergency Equipment was the only bidder who submitted a proposal within the deadline to install three sirens.

Commission members approved the bid and signed off on the project to begin.
