Yankton Schools Respond to Threat; One Arrested

Yankton schools responded to a threat this morning.

Yankton Police said a threat was received at approx. 11:04 this morning to the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office. Yankton Police immediately sent officers to each school, while notifying the school district of the pending threat. Police Chief Brian Paulsen says 23 year old Travis Potts was located and taken into custody at approximately 11:25 this morning. He will be charged with 2 counts Terroristic Threats. Paulsen says they will get a search warrant for his residence and conduct follow up interviews regarding the case.

School Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle says they got the call from Yankton Police this morning………
