Just as classes started this fall, the South Dakota Department of Education posted report cards for school districts.
The Yankton District scored in the top ten with the high school getting an overall score of eighty-one and the middle school scoring a seventy-two. That’s based on student performance and other factors.
Superintendent Wayne Kindle says it’s a good outcome….
Kindle says while important, the state report card is a one time snapshot….
Kindle says the information from the tests helps them adjust courses as needed….
The information was presented to the Yankton School Board at their meeting earlier this month.
