Yankton School Work Plan to Become State Pilot Project

An internship program in the Yankton School District is being turned into a state pilot project.
Governor Dennis Daugaard spoke at Yankton High School Tuesday night, and said that the state will place two full time employees in the district to help support and expand the program.
He says the Yankton program has shown solid results…..

Daugaard says the two employees will have distinct responsibilities……

Daugaard says the Yankton program fits in well with the statewide workforce development plan…..

The school district has seen steady growth in their internship program over the last three years. Students get job experience, school credits and paid for their work.
