Yankton School District Holds Public Hearing on Next Year’s Budget

The Yankton School Board got no comments on their proposed 2017 budget during the public hearing.
The proposed general fund budget of eighteen point four million dollars is an increase of about half a percent from this year.
Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle says more students would be the best help for the budget….

Kindle says the capital outlay budget is set at six point five million dollars…………..

Kindle says they still have a structural debt of about one million dollars, but continue to whittle it down….

The board will adopt the budget at their September meeting.
