The Yankton School District is expanding its investment in propane powered buses.

District Business Manager Jason Bietz says they have testing propane for the past few years….

Bietz says they are seeing cost savings in running the propane busses….

Bietz says they have seen up to thirty-five cents a gallon savings in fuel costs. The eight propane buses will be used in addition to the fifteen diesel powered buses the district uses.
