The Yankton School Board decided on a draft of the 2014-2015 budget Monday night at their monthly meeting. The hearing discussed the district’s struggle to balance the upcoming budget. The Yankton district’s business manager, Jason Bietz, presented the information.

Although an initial deficit was obvious, Bietz discussed options that would temporarily show a balanced budget.

This budget hearing allowed the board to carry the current draft through to September, when the final budget will be adopted.
