The Yankton School Board approved a master contract with district teachers at their meeting Monday night.

Kindle says they also had to keep the state teacher pay accountability rules in mind during the negotiations……

The average pay in the Yankton district is now at fifty-one thousand five hundred ninety nine dollars.
Kindle says the pay scale is also a good way to recruit new teachers….

The agreement with the Yankton Education Association was reached after one day of negotiations.
