Yankton School Board Approves Early Childhood Education Plan

The Yankton School Board approved a plan that could lead to new building and ultimately closing two existing elementary school buildings.
Valerie Peterson with Wold Architects reviewed the plan the special task force developed at the board meeting Monday night….

Peterson says the plan has several phases…..

Peterson says it’s a matter of finding space for more elementary students….

No site has been specified yet for the new early childhood education building. Cost of the facility has been estimated at about twenty million dollars.

The school board approved the plan on a five to zero vote.
