Yankton School Board Approves Budget, Sets Tax Levies

The Yankton School Board approved their budget for the 2016 – 17 school year at their meeting Monday night.
The general fund budget is just under seventeen and a half million dollars.
The board also approved the tax levies needed to support that spending plan.
Business Manager Jason Bietz had some details…..

Bietz says some other taxes will go up……

Bietz says while the levy for the pension fund will go away, pensions will still get money from the general fund……

Bietz says taxes that owners pay will be determined by their assessed valuations.
