The Yankton School Board heard a proposal at their meeting this week to change the cell phone policy at the high school.

Principal Dr. Jennifer Johnke said they did a survey of cell phone policy at other ESD schools………

Currently cell phone use at the high school is very limited.

She told the board that cell phones are much more than communications devices, saying she observed other uses in a classroom setting…………

Johnke says they had a committee discuss and come up with new cell phone policies………….
