An updated study of the Yankton trade area shows room for growth in retail business, restaurants and hotels.
Jerry Hoffman of the Hoffman Strategy Group presented the study to the Yankton City Commission last night. He says more business is a good possibility…..

Hoffman says they see continued growth in the market over the next few years…..

He says they defined the Yankton trade area as the area between Mitchell, Sioux Falls, Sioux City and Norfolk.

Hoffman says there are still retail dollars leaving the area….

Hoffman says they also see room for development of another, suite style, sixty room hotel.

Hoffman says they will now use the study to recruit new retail stores and restaurants to the area.
