Yankton Residents to See Another Round of Utility Rate Hikes

The Yankton City Commission will consider another round of hikes for solid waste, water and sewer rates.

City Manager Amy Nelson says changes to recycling will boost the solid waste rates….

Those rates will increase just over three dollars a month.

Nelson says water rates will see another rate increase, plus another surcharge….

Nelson says the two dollar ninety cent monthly surcharge will be added each year through 2019.

Nelson says sewer rates will also rise….

The Yankton City Commission meets Monday night, 7PM at the R-TEC building.
