Yankton Mosquito Spraying Begins This Week

Spraying for mosquitoes will begin in residential areas of Yankton this week.
City Manager Amy Leon says the fogging truck will be making the rounds mostly in the evenings..

Leon says they are aiming at mosquitoes that could carry the west nile virus…

Leon says they are working with the state health department tracking potential virus carrying mosquitoes…

The truck will be spraying the chemical “BIOMIST three plus fifteen ULV.”
Larvicides will also be used in standing water.
