The Yankton School Board got an update this week on the performance of high school students on this year ACT testing.
High School Principal Jennifer Johnke says the overall score took a big jump….

The overall state composite was twenty-one point nine.

Johnke says they had a large group of high achievers…..

That was out of a class of about one hundred ninety.

Johnke says there was a sizable jump in some of the individual disciplines….

Johnke says about eighty percent of the senior class took the ACT, which is about the same percentage that went on to four year higher education.
