The Yankton County Habitat for Humanity has teamed up with United Way, and is looking for volunteers to help with their “A Brush with Kindness” program. The program is an opportunity for residents to help several families with painting, yard work, and minor repairs to their homes. Executive Director Julie Dykstra says the service benefits neighborhoods throughout the community.
The work will begin on October 24th and 25th at 9:00 am, and Dykstra says about 20 volunteers are needed each day.
She says anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to call the Habitat office at 260-4224.
