Yankton Firefighters Have Busy Weekend

Yankton Firefighters responded to several calls over the holiday weekend between Saturday morning and Sunday evening. Responses ranged from grass fires to a car fire. Two calls were in the city, one of which was a false report of a shed on fire, and a car fire that was caused by discarded fireworks in the trunk of the car that ignited at 1:30 a.m. on the 4th. The car was a complete loss. Firefighters responded to 6 fireworks related calls in the county. All of the calls were limited to grass fires with no damage reported.
