Voters in Yankton County said “no” to two tax measures that were referred by petition to the ballot.
The county commission had passed a forty-five cent per thousand property tax increase along with a wheel tax increase.
Both of those measures lost by a wide margin.
Commission Chairman Todd Woods says they will take a look at their options when they meet next week…..

Woods says they should be able to do most routine maintenance next year…
Woods has said in the past that funding for the bridge over the James River on old Highway 50 will be another major issue to deal with.
